There are many interesting attractions in Golden other than its quaint main street with shops and restaurants. Nearly 3 million visitors are attracted to the Golden area each year to check out all of the great places of interest to visit. Coors Brewery is a main attraction in Golden.
The Coors Brewery was founded in 1873 by Adolph Coors. Coors is the largest single site brewery in the world and has been known as MillerCoors since 2008. Free tours of the brewery are offered daily between the hours of 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. The tour is very educational and demonstrates firsthand the intricate process of brewing beer. Everyone loves the end of the tour where Coors offers free samples of fresh brewed, ice cold beer for anyone over 21 years of age.
Other attractions in Golden include Heritage Square Amusement Park, Buffalo Bill’s Grave and Museum and the Colorado Railroad Museum.
