N-Play: An Online Environment for Buying and Selling

Technology Tuesdays

N-Play is an interactive online marketplace for buyers and sellers where buyers can make offers on homes directly on the site.  N-Play allows agents and brokers to submit their listings to be part of the N-Play database. As soon as the home or property is listed prospective buyers can began making anonymous, non-binding offers.

If a seller would like to take your offer or negotiate with you they can confirm it and the conversation will get started about being able to purchase. Offers are considered to be valid for up to two weeks after they are made.

As a bidder you will be able to see other offers being made on the property so that you are able to adjust your offer if you would like.  Your offer can be changed until it expires or until the seller accepts it.

N-Play has often been compared to eBay but the two are in fact very different. On eBay, offers are concrete and if you have the highest bid when the auction period ends the item is yours and you must pay the seller in a timely matter. With N-Play, sellers are not required to sell their properties or homes and buyers are not obligated to their bids until they enter into a mutually binding agreement with the seller.
