Zipcar.com happens to be one of the most unique ideas I have seen in quite some time. With the amount of cars on the road today continuing to grow, we need a company that will help decongest the streets. Zipcar comes into play for people that may not own a car, or for citizens that live in a large city such as New York or Detroit. Renting a car for only a day has never been easier, enabling people that only need a car for the day to not pay sky high prices of other rental agencies. Zipcar allows people to rent a car for a 24-hour period, which is not pricy by any means and the gas is even paid for.

People that live in big cities may use public transportation to get around, which is only useful for traveling in local areas. By using Zipcar they can visit family that may be outside of the city, or drive somewhere that they may have wanted to visit that the public transportation just will not take them. One of the only hassles that people using this service can face is the location of the car that they want. Such as if the Lexus that the customer wants is a mile farther than the Ford that is available. If the customer is willing to travel that extra mile they can have the car they desire for the day. That is one of the biggest hassles with Zipcar, which shows how simple the service really is.

Renting a car for the day is as cheap as it gets coming in at only $65 for 24 hours. It is the best idea to reserve a car for the whole day because returning a car late cost $25 for every hour after the allotted time. Customers receive a “Zipcard”, making picking up a car as easy as can be. When Zipcar tells you where and when a car is going to be somewhere it is usually there exactly on time. All you need to do as a customer is take your Zipcard and hold it up to the sensor located on the windshield, which will unlock the car and give you access to the key connected to the steering wheel.

Although cars may seem to be a little dirty customers really cannot complain for the cheap prices and availability of these cars. Zipcar is willing to pay any customer that cleans the car after they have used it. This is a great incentive for the customer because if they are strapped for cash they are given the option to reduce the price of their 24 hour rental. People that are all about being flashy will not be happy knowing that they have a big green sticker located on the side of the car for advertisement of the company, but as I have said before beggars cannot be choosers.

With cars coming equipped with insurance, at a timely manner, and at cheap prices, Zipcar cannot do any customer wrong. For someone that happens to need a rental car because their car is having mechanical problems, Zipcar.com is the best option over other rental companies. So give it a shot if you are ever in need of a car and see if it suites you.
