Homingcloud.com!

Technology Tuesdays

Post, Match, Connect, these are the three steps that are required by Homingcloud.com. This website gives many users the freedom of putting their own home on the market. Homingcloud.com allows sellers to post their own home listing in just a few simple steps. Matching is where the consumer comes into play by searching for a new home that is suiting to their needs. After a buyer finds a home they are interested in then this is where the third step, connect, comes into play. Users are allowed to talk directly to the seller, instead of having to consult through a broker. Homingcloud is a great combination of social-networking and real estate, which seems to be the trend lately.

The amount of money that can be saved by selling a house on your own can be very intriguing to some. Sure there are possibilities that people will still turn to a broker because they do not feel it is a safe way of buying and selling a home. But there are still large amounts of people that would rather not pay the extra commission fee, which is usually required by an agent.

There are large amounts of people that are not completely tech-savvy, but one great thing about Homecloud.com is that the website is easily accessible. When a user clicks whether they want to post a home or search for one they are instantly met with easy to follow instructions.

Users that are going to be searching for a new home are given the options to search for rental, buying, or subletting. As well as being able to have the option of searching for a home or apartment is refreshing since a lot of real estate websites jumble all searches together. Users that are relying on Homecloud.com to match them with the perfect prospect to buy their home do not have to worry. Although the website is still in its Beta testing, there are still large amounts of posts available.

Sellers are going to be pleased with the amount of options they receive when signing up with Homecloud. When a post is made the seller is given the option to include a descriptive overview of their home. One of the best features that I have seen available for sellers is hands-down the video feature. Being able to have the option of either inviting a buyer over and physically showing them your home, or presenting an open-house via video is a new feature I have never seen before. Buyers being able to view a walkthrough of the house before even talking to the seller can ease a lot of anxiety usually experienced during this stressful time. There are large amounts of shy people that would rather view the house directly from the comfort of their desk, instead of having to meet someone.

Is it a smart idea to start integrating social-networking in the real-estate industry? Let’s hear what you guys personally think!
