I am proud to announce that I have been added to the teacher line-up for the New York Real Estate salespersons’ License pre-qualifying course. The New York State approved 78-hour salesperson license Pre-qualifying course is offered monthly at Baruch College Continuing and Professional Studies School.
Â
Check out the course (NCP6000) on their website www.baruch.cuny.edu I teach approximately 6-8 hours of the material concerning finance and mortgage brokers.
Â
This course will also serve the salesperson’s licensing requirements. To be eligible to receive a New York State Real Estate Salespersons license, students must successfully complete this course, pass the New York State exam, and be sponsored and employed by a licensed real estate broker. The last three hours of this 78-hour course will be reserved for the final exam. The textbook required for the course is New York Real Estate for Salespersons, 4th Ed., by Marcia Darvin Spada.
Â
In addition, I teach Originating and Underwriting Residential Loans for the professional. I have been teaching this class with the program since 2000. This course is the footprint for my upcoming book, A Short Book on Mortgages: Lessons from the Trenches. We are currently working on a joint program for the Continuing Education of Mortgage Loan Officers in the State of New York. This will be required by the mid-2009 year. Of course, if the State has the funding for it…. Wow, I really am fun at parties!
