We all have someone in our lives that is most special to us. A person you connect with on all levels. My friend Judith Mosson was that person to me. I met her 12 years ago and became fast friends from day one. We shared many interests and had mutual respect and admiration for one another. We had lots of laughs on the golf course and parties out in the Hamptons. She was proud of me and my business successes and always had an open ear for me.
She was smart enough to retire in her early 50’s so she could enjoy life. Recently, she sold her house in East Hampton, where she lived full time, and scaled down in Ft Lauderdale. Spending time golfing and playing tennis, she was thoroughly enjoying the retired life.
As always, life gets in the way of your plans and she was diagnosed with cancer last June. Judith tried to fight it tooth and nail ever since. There was a great rally in the middle which allowed time for a cruise and lots of tennis.Last week, the bad news was given that it had inevitably spread and time was limited. Friends and loved ones were called to come in. I went down yesterday and was blessed with a few scattered moments of recognition and small smiles.
This morning she passed away, with her two best friends and brother by her side.Whatever today brings to me, it will pale to what it took away from me. My friend Judith Mosson. So special and loved and always remembered by all of those whose lives and hearts she touched. To you Judith, I dedicate my day.
